  Refer to the table at the bottom of this quest to determine which type of Niffis you need the Shell or Pearl from, Nefanes currently only spawn on Caul Isle:

  Once the shield is created, you can also stamp it with any of the rubber stamps that are also used for banners.  Just dye the stamp the color you want, and use it on the shield.
