UPDATE, 14 JUNE, 2002:  With the June 2002 event, Castling, the Essenses were destroyed by Martine.  Level VII spells are now gotten directly from Steel Chests found randomly throughout the Dires.  Refer to the SiK chest writeup for more information.

Step 0: Preparation

  Ok, to start off with, do not bother doing this quest unless you can buff either your Item or War Magic skill to 300+.  Even if you get the VII scrolls, you will not be able to cast them without that level of skill.  You will also need a good amount of SiKs to get the chests open.

Step 1: SiKs and VI Scrolls

  There are many Steel Chests randomly located on the Obsidian Plains and across the Dires.  (There are usually one or two right outside of the Obsidian Plains BSD portal) These random chests contain VI scrolls.

Step 2: VI Scrolls to VII Scrolls

  Now that you have some VI scrolls, you will need to take them to the appropriate "Essence" to have them converted into level VII scrolls.  Here they are:
