| The Fenmalain Soul Crystal Special thanks go to Draco Darktide of Harvestgain, Director of the Quest Corps for the AC Guild Strategic Alliance, for providing this quest write-up. Levels: Portal is restricted to levels 10-30 I recommend 15-30 Enemies: Zombies, Lichs, Shadow Children, sparse amounts of Shadows. Final Enemy: The Fenmalain (Char. Level 126) Est. Duration: 2-3 hours (tack on another hour if you plan on doing the last part as well.) Required Quest Items: Fenmalain Keys (can also be acquired inside the dungeon, Only 1 is needed to enter the Fenmalain's Lair recommend 2 keys per person in case you die.) Gathering Point: Baishi or Mayoi, either is fine Portal Status: The Entrance Portal at 46.9S,55.2E cannot be tied to, however, you can tie to the exit portal. The portals in the second half (there are only exit portal in the second half) cannot be tied to. ----Quest Write-up---- Ok first things first I recommend you be levels 15-30. ---Getting to the Dungeon--- Now as for the quest itself. The dungeon is located at (46.9S,55.2E) thats just a few Km from Baishi. So first you need to head to Baishi, there is a portal to it in the Mayoi Ruin so thats an easy run. Once you get to Baishi regroup and head to those coords. Your heading should be W-NW On your way there you will pass what seems to be like a farm and then a tower right next to it. Keep going, up ahead you will see a mountain chain. There is a type of ramp that leads you onto the mountains, there is only that one pass so you can't miss it. The coords to it are (46.75S,58.7E) those aren't exact they are an estimate I made using AC Explorer, but head to that general area, you will see a mountain ramp. Once at the top you will come to a fork that leads you either left or right, go left and straight to the coords of the portal. Be warned when you get close to the area where the portal is, you will see lots of trees, in those trees lurk some shadows. Sometimes they are there sometimes they aren't, I suggest you buff up once you get to the mountains. ---Inside the Dungeon (First part of Quest)--- Once inside if you don't have the Fenmalain keys (again, I recommend each person have 2) then you're first deal of business is to take the right pass and start killing shadow children until they start dropping them. If everyone has their keys then take all lefts until you get to the Fenmalain Gate (usually if the purple fog gets thicker then you are headed in the right direction), which is a large pointed stone that has a key hole in it. Use the keys on the gate and you will get Fenmalain Portal Gems. Once everybody has their gems, use one and you will be transported to the Fenmalain's Lair this is where the second half of the quest begins. ---The Fenmalain's Lair (Second part of the Quest)--- This portion may have changed and may no longer be correct. I am investigating this now. Please let me know if you have any updated information! Once inside take this time to buff your defenses, DO NOT stop to fight in this part, there are many many Lichs and believe you me you do NOT want to fight them all. After you've buffed run straight, you will pass one corridor to your left, and then another, its that SECOND Corridor to your LEFT that you want to take, then follow it all the way down, it leads out to a room with huge torch in the middle, much like the kind you see in the luggie cit. Run straight through those, there are openings on the other side that lead to rooms, you will do this and you will run through about 3-5 rooms until you reach the fenmalain. You will know you've reached the fenmalain because there is a big upside down Atlan claw the height of the whole room with smaller frags around you :) Once in its den there is an opening to the left and to the right of the room. Duck into the right opening and take that time to buff. Once you're all buffed, it's time to take the Fenmalain down. In order to attack it you must first destroy the four Fenmalain Sattellites that protect it (they are just broken fragments with a different name.) After they are down, everyone start hitting the Fenmalain and it should go down in about 6 seconds. Once its down repeat the process over and over again until you all have Fenmalain Crystals. Once you all have the crystal head to the exit which can be reached by following the exit to the right where you first ducked into when you entered the room. The exit portal is all the way at the end of the hall. *Congratulations on beating the Fenmalain ^_^ * ---Uziz (Third part of the Quest)--- Now that you have the crystal you want to turn it into a shield/orb/bow right? Sure you do! You don't all have to on this the same night, but I would recommend you go with someone that can summon a portal for you to get back :) In Uziz you want to go see the 3 Brothers they are at: [3 Collectors (Uziz) (24.4S,28.7E)] Your best bet for a route is: Abandoned Mines to Hebian-To Subway (34.9N,54.5E) 2.64km Point (45.9S,90.8E) 11.36km Sawato Portal (93.8N,7.8E) 0.32km 3 Collectors (Uziz) (24.4S,28.7E) 4.72km Once there talk to the brother of your choice and collect your prize. To get back to Mayoi I suggest you go with someone that can portal recall or: Khayabban to Lin Portal (47.7S,25E) 23.59km Lin to Tou-Tou (54S,73.9E) 0.22km Tou Tou to Arwic (27.8S,95.8E) 3.36km Abandoned Mines to Mayoi Subway (34.9N,54.5E) 3.05km Mayoi (61.6S,82E) 1.21km If you want to double check the above coordinates it will say to take: Grievous Vault to Samsur (25.8S,27.3E) 1.98km <------ Samsur to Holtberg (1.5S,18.4E) 1.3km Holtberg to Rithwic (40.8N,34E) 0.85km Rithwic to Shoushi (11N,59.3E) 1.12km Shoushi to Nanto (32.3S,71.7E) 2.6km Mayoi (61.6S,82E) 10.6km You do NOT want to go in the Grievous Vault. It is a maze in there and when I tried to find the Samsur portal in there I died and never got my body back! So you're better off taking the first route.
