With the September 2000 patch came the ability to dye clothes and armor.  Originally, you could only get the colors that showed the coordinates listed in the right column.  As of a recent patch however, there is a second process to get the plants.

New Plant Process:

1. Kill lots and lots of Shreths (or Tusker Rampagers for black) to get Little Green Seeds.

2. Go to the Swamp Gardens at 22.5s, 45.8e.

3. Talk to Terese and give her your seeds.  She will randomly either give you nothing (stating that these are not seeds, but droppings) or will give you a plant of a random color.  If you are looking for a particular color, bring LOTS of seeds.

Dye Process (Below Chart):

Ok, here is the process:

Step1: Find one of the plants above.

Step 2: Using a Mortar and Pestle, crush the plant to get this: (color will match your plant of course)

Step 3: Use a Neutral Balm on the crushed plant to get a vial of dye: (ALCHEMY SKILL CHECK)

Step 4: Cook the Dye in a pot to get a Dye Pot (COOKING SKILL CHECK)

Step 5: Use the Dye Pot on the article of clothing to dye it  (COOKING SKILL CHECK - RECOMMEND MINIMUM OF 275 COOKING SKILL)  Big note here: If you fail in step 5 on armor, you may damage the armor by up to 50 AL!!.  Here are the 3 possible failure modes for this one (from minor failure to catastrophic failure):

• Orange Color/No AL Loss

• Correct Color/Loss of between 20 and 50 AL

• Orange Color/Loss of between 20 and 50 AL
