Step 0: Preparation

• Toughest BASE armor you have.  In the dungeon are Lugians armed with hollow weapons, which ignore magical buffs and will DESTROY you if you do not have good non-magical armor.

• Lots of healing kits and stamina elixirs

• Alchemy supplies:

  • Mortar and Pestle

  • Alembic

  • Lots of Vitriol

  • Lots of Neutral Balms

Step 1: Getting the Ore

  The ore is found in the Lugian Quarry, located at 64.4S  55.5E.  As you are working your way down to the ore, pick up a Lugian Pick Axe from one of their corpses.  You will need this.  Once you get down there, you are looking for something that looks like a rectangular boulder.  Double-click on the Axe, then click on the boulder and you will get low quality ore from it.  Do NOT pick up more than one as they are over 1000BU and you can only cash one in for refinement every game-week or so.

Step 2: Refining the Ore

  You will need to go to Faruza ibn Salaq, way over at 76N  49.1W on the north-west tip of Dereth to get the ore refined.  You will have lots of friends following you during your run there...

(I recommend trying to catch a Stonehold portal to shorten the run.)  Give him the ore and he will refine it for you.  Once you give him one ore, there is a quest timer that kicks in and will not let you get another one for quite some time.  This shot is from the little castle he is standing in.

  If you need to get rid of extra ore at this point, go give it to a town crier.

Step 3: Making Dispel Potions

  Ok, to turn this ore into the potions, you will need an alchemist of high skill (see table below.)  Here are the steps to take to get your potions:

1. Use a mortar and pestle on all of the refined Medium chorizite you now have.  You will end up with 40 Chorizite powders.  

2. Next, use Vitriol on all the ground-up chorizite to make chorizite potions. These can be used in spell casting, so if you are learning dispel spells, you now have the spell component you needed out of this quest.  Refer to SplitPea or SplitBeans for learning the spells.

3. Next, you will use the Alembic on the potions to make Chorizite oil.

4. Ok, now you are at the step that is determined by your alchemy skill.  Look at this table, and compare it with your alchemy skill to see what level (roughly) of dispel potion you can make.  Here's how it works (the alchemy checks below apply to these steps):

• Use Chorizite oil on chorizite oil to make strong chorizite oil

• Use strong Chorizite oil on chorizite oil to make concentrated chorizite oil

• Use concentrated Chorizite oil on chorizite oil to make condensed chorizite oil
