Diamond Shield

The Story So Far...

 In the September 2001 patch, certain new monsters appeared, and the were gifted with special items they dropped on death.  The average drop rate for these items appears to be roughly 1 in 4. 

Step 0: Preparation

  • Bludgeoning Protection VII, Armor VII

  • Magical Protections (Level VII)

  • Lots of Stamina and Healing Elixirs (Like the new Trade ones)

  • A Mage or three to heal you

Step 1: Find and Kill a Diamond Lord

  Most likely, you will find them On the Obsidian Plains.  When you are ready to attack it, buff up REAL good and go for it!  It will drop a Diamond Shield on roughly 1 in 4.

 A shield made of diamond. It is incredibly resilient, and seems to be nigh unbreakable.
