The Story So Far...

   Branith, one of the mages who fought along side Thorsten Cragstone himself, has had his staff stolen!  Not only his staff though, they took the very shirt of his back!  Can you recover these items of legend from the clutches of the Mite Queen Herself?!?!

Step 0: Preparation

• Magical Protections from Gold Wasps (Lightning and Piercing)

• Piercing attacks from Mites

Step 1: Getting to the Dungeon

  1st off, buff before you go.  When you enter the mountain shortcut portal, and then the Mize Maze, you will typically be jumped by monsters, so that would be a BAD time to find out your buffs have expired.  Once buffed, head over to the Mite Maze.  The easiest way is to take a portal to Arwic, then take the Mountain Shortcut portal at 39.5n, 56e.  From there it is a very short run up the hill to the Mite Maze (41.1n, 57.3e).  A map of the dungeon can be found here.

Step 2: Branith's Shirt

  Once inside, you will want to follow these directoins to get to Branith's Shirt, fighting Royal Mite Squires and Gold Phyntos Wasps along the way:

1. East to "T" Intersection

2. South around a bend to the next intersection

3. East at intersection

4. SouthEast at next intersection

5. NorthEast at next intersection

6. SouthEast at next intersection

7. West at next intersection

8. Up the Ramp

9. North at next intersection

10. North-NorthEast at next intersection

11. You will find Branith's Shirt on the ground in the room.  Here is a shot of it:

Step 3: The Mite Warrior Queen

   Once you have the shirt, it is tie to go face down the Warrior Queen of the Mites.  You are going to want to head down the way you came, work North to the ramp down, then work South Easterly until you come to a large room (refer to the map for details.) You will face some Mite Matrons and a Tusker Redeemer enroute.  Kill the Mite Warrior Queen and on her corpse you will find Some Discuses and The Mite Queen's Staff.

Step 4: Branith's Blazing Staff

  But what about Branith's Staff?  If you continue to the other side of the room, you will see it lying on the floor, still burning.  Pick it up and recall home!
